| Sushi etiquette (in three steps) |
1.

Nigiri (a type of sushi that is a fish slice on rice) is meant to be eaten with your hands. |
2.

Lightly dip the fish side into the soy sauce. |
3.

Place the fish side onto your tongue.
It is proper to eat the entire piece. Although it is alright to eat the piece in more than one bite. |
| Poor sushi etiquette |
DO NOT dip the rice into soy sauce. |

DO NOT put pickled ginger on top of sushi. Ginger is to be eaten in-between pieces, so it may clear your palette. |

DO NOT over-pour the soy sauce. This way you will not over-soak the nigiri.
Remember, you can always add more soy sauce later. |
